Egg Farmers send aid to people of Haiti

The American Egg Board is coordinating a national campaign to provide food for the people of Haiti. Hundreds of thousands of families have been affected by the earthquake in Haiti, left homeless and without food and water. Working closely with the charity, Feed the Children, The American Egg board has launched “Eggs for Haitian Relief” and is working with egg companies throughout America to donate eggs.

Due to the challenges of sending food to Haiti, the eggs must be turned into dried egg product before they can be sent.  This relief effort is only possible, due to the generosity of egg organisations throughout America, from egg producers, who are donating the actual eggs, right through to processing companies, who are turning these eggs into the dried products that can be shipped to the Haitian people.
